02 Overview
Fixed connector formats become awkward when sensor, control, audio, or specialized data wiring changes between tests. I keep the JRE UFI-1 in mind when eight independent filtered conductors and removable terminals are more useful than another fixed wall interface.
- Eight independently filtered lines for DC, audio, serial, sensor, and control connections
- Signal passband from DC to approximately 480 MHz, with rejection above 700 MHz
- Greater than 70 dB above 700 MHz and greater than 80 dB from 800 MHz to 6 GHz
- RJ-45 Female jacks with removable screw-terminal blocks for 16-30 AWG wire
- Up to 60 VDC at 250 mA with 1.5 ohms maximum resistance per line
- Two 12-inch (approximately 30 cm) pendant cables and a wiring screwdriver supplied
- 2" H x 3.2" W x 0.8" D (50 x 80 x 20 mm); $445.00 and in stock
When the DUT-side connector changes but the underlying conductors do not, I swap the terminal block instead of redesigning a fixed layout. Additional blocks are available for repeat setups. That makes the UFI-1 especially useful for mixed low-voltage signals that do not justify several dedicated interfaces.
