Provenance you can trust, and a signal path with nothing to compromise.
Nearly everything JRE sells is fabricated under one roof in Victor, New York — genuinely Made in USA. The high-speed filters are fully passive, copper-through interfaces: no firmware, no microcontrollers, no active electronics inside that could be targeted or used as an attack vector; for defense, government and security customers, both of those are requirements, not features.
Conceptual — ambient bench RF vs. inside a JRE enclosure with a fully passive, copper-through filtered signal path.
- Made in USA
- fully passive, copper-through interfaces
- No firmware, no microcontrollers, no active electronics
A purely passive filter has no firmware to subvert.
An active filter or repeater in the signal path is one more component with firmware that has to be trusted and provenance that has to be proven.

- Passive copper-through
- No electronics
- No firmware
JRE's filters are passive copper-through: no electronics, no firmware, nothing in the path to compromise. The link still enumerates and delivers power because it is a real conductive connection, not fiber.
Built for sensitive test environments.
A purely passive filter has no firmware to subvert.
We deliberately do not put active equalization or signal-regeneration electronics inside the JRE USB-C and USB 3 filters. This is a design decision, not a limitation. The filter is a purely passive device — signals pass through, RF interference is filtered, and the data arrives on the other side with no active processing, no firmware, no microcontrollers, and no possibility of electronic interception or manipulation within the filter itself.
100% — Passive, copper-through filtered signal path.
For customers handling sensitive or classified data, that is a critical requirement, and it is built into how the filters work.
Many of our customers — particularly in defense, government, forensics and security-sensitive industries — require exactly this: a fully passive, copper-through path with no active components that could be compromised.
Supply-chain provenance and country-of-origin requirements are non-negotiable for many programs.
Enclosures, plates and filters are fabricated in-house in Victor, NY — Made in USA — so you can document where the hardware in your test setup actually comes from.
Every chamber and filter is genuinely made in the USA — an increasingly important consideration for defense, cyber and security customers who need to trust the provenance of what is in their test setup.About JRE Test
JRE runs a complete in-house metal fabrication line — a 6 kW fiber laser cutter, press brake and laser welding — so custom hole patterns, custom I/O plates and custom modifications are built here, not sent to a job shop. You deal directly with the engineers who design and build the product.
USA — In-house fabrication in Victor, New York. 6 kW — In-house fiber laser — custom hole patterns and plates.
Fixed test cells and custom wall penetrations are slow and expensive when sheet metal goes out to a job shop.
The in-house 6 kW fiber laser cuts custom hole patterns and plates as a routine setup change. Custom hole patterns run roughly $150–$200 per wall; drilled holes are sealed with tight metal screws to preserve shielding integrity.
