Benchtop RF shielded test enclosure with a gas-strut-supported cover door — its long, deep interior suits extended or multiple devices laid out lengthwise.

A Long, Deep Test Volume with Easy Access

The JRE 1729A features a large entry door with gas struts to easily hold it open when accessing or placing your device under test into the enclosure. At 27.5" deep, its long interior is the standout — room for extended devices, cable assemblies, or several units arranged end to end. Proper closure and tight RF isolation are assured by dual cover latches, which are adjustable to compensate for any wear with usage. Dual honeycomb-style vents keep it cool, with an optional fan available, and the dual D-size I/O plates allow plenty of connector options. If your devices need a wider rather than deeper footprint, the JRE 1724A is a related low-profile option on the same D-size plate system.

Featuring rugged welded aluminum construction, you can be assured of its tight RF shielding effectiveness. Long-life door gasket material along with our double-edge contact engagement provides solid RF shielding and smooth, trouble-free operation over the life of the chamber. Our wide selection of I/O connectors allows almost any device to be interfaced inside the enclosure. Inside, LS-30 RF absorbing foam tames reflections and hot-spots so your measurements stay clean and repeatable.

The Removable I/O Plate — Your Chamber Never Becomes Obsolete

Every JRE chamber uses a removable, CNC-machined I/O plate — a design JRE engineers originated over forty years ago. The two D-size plates recess into the chamber wall and do not intrude into your test volume. Because they swap out in the field with a few screws, one 1729A can be reconfigured for many different test setups over its life. Our wide selection of filtered I/O interfaces — USB, Ethernet, power, HDMI and more — lets almost any device be connected inside while keeping the RF environment sealed up tight.
